FAQ
Find detailed information about DataBILT datasets, sourcing, formatting, licensing, and workflow integrations.
DataBILT is a structured market data product built by RF5 Holdings. We extract, structure, and package public regulatory data from SEC/FINRA IAPD public feeds into institutional-grade Excel and CSV deliverables for commercial distribution workflows.
All DataBILT products are sourced from the SEC/FINRA IAPD public regulatory compilation feeds — specifically the State IA Firm Feed and the SEC Investment Adviser Firm Feed, both available at adviserinfo.sec.gov. The value DataBILT provides is in the extraction, structuring, enrichment, and packaging — not in the raw source, which is public and free.
No. DataBILT products are not compliance-verified, not investment advice, and not a recommendation of any kind. All data is sourced from public regulatory filings and packaged as-is for commercial distribution workflow use.
Each dataset is delivered as an instant-download ZIP file containing: XLSX (Cover / Data / Summary tabs), CSV (for CRM or workflow import), Full Data Dictionary, README, and License/Disclaimer documentation.
All purchases are processed through Gumroad via Stripe-encrypted checkout. You receive an instant download link upon payment confirmation. All sales are final. No refunds once downloaded.
Each purchase includes a single-entity commercial license. The data is authorized for use by the purchasing entity only. Redistribution, resale, or sublicensing is not permitted under the standard license.
Yes. The CSV delivery is structured for direct CRM import. Field names are clean, consistent, and documented in the included Data Dictionary.
The ERA Manager Dataset covers 6,527 SEC Exempt Reporting Advisers — private fund managers and hedge fund operators that file with the SEC but are exempt from full investment adviser registration. This population includes private equity funds, hedge funds, venture capital funds, and other alternative investment vehicles. Fund type fields are self-reported filing indicators only — not a verified strategy taxonomy.
Current dataset base layer: May 21, 2026. DataBILT publishes dataset version dates on all product pages and in the delivered README.
Enriched national files and segmentation slices are in development. Contact us for current availability or to be notified when planned products launch.
